does a t61p 15,4" fan & heatsink fits in a t60p 15,4"?

hi folks


seems my t60p 15,4" fan will crash soon, according the strange sounds sometimes coming up.

i remember i ve read that there was a post about replacing the t60p fan/heat sink assembly

with the one from a t61p 15,4" before more or less one year.

in general it was said, that the t61p fan/heatsink shall be a little better and less noisier than

the original t60p.

but unfortunatly i can`t find this experience report anymore or maybe it was also not posted on

this forum here.


could anyone confirm if a replacement works?

which fan/heatsink FRU are the correct one? as far as I know there are two different fan/heatsinks

versions/models available for the t61p.
