Configure firewall for CSS

#1 Post by plaincollar » Thu Dec 08, 2011 12:23 pm

Hi. I started a similar topic a couple of month ago but it did'nt solve my issue. The problem is that every firewall I've tested shut down my computer totaly and in a bad way. Comodo, Zon, Eset and some more, all create a disaster. This beacuse of CSS.
I running a T60 XP SP 3 and for the moment I have Free Avast as protection. But I need a more active firewall for blocking specific sites etc. Last time I wrote about this, RealBlackStuff helped me with some good advise but but it was'nt realy what I requested.

The question is; what do I need to do with my T60 before, during and after I install a firewall. If I do nothing, allmost every component stopp working and after a reboot I don't have access to my own pc.

Is there a guide how to... or can please someone at this forum describe the procedure for installing a wall without CSS get nuts? I mean it must be possible to install one although you have CSS/Thinkvantage activated.

Looking forward to a solution for this.
Thanks in advance//Plaincollar
