let me know your thoughts about which one would be the better battery.

I have both 4-cell ones and the LGC is showing around 3 hours of operating while the Panasonic is showing about 2.5 hours ... However, all were drained completely so this is upon full recharge. Both good batteries, the LGC with some 112 cycles and the Panasonic one with some 30 or so cycles, both manufactured withing 3 months back in 2008.

same T61 laptops, though the one with the LGC uses Hitachi HDD which drains a bit more power than the Seagate installed in the other one.

Judging by past history with ThinkPads, the Panasonic batteries routinely come out on top. However, that was compared to Sanyo and Sony. I recently acquired an LGC battery (my first) with a new ThinkPad and I'm quite impressed.

I think you have two good choices. Assuming you've done 2 to 3 full rundowns so that capacity is accurately reflected, I'd take the one that lasts longer. In this case, the LGC, even though it has quadruple the cycles.
