Blue Scree, Black Screen, and hanging

Hi All,

Over the past week or two my T60p 8741-CTO has been giving me a bunch of problems. The first problem would be the machine not wanting to wake up from a hibernation or sleep. I would have to manually shut the machine down and restart. It has also started to hang after login displaying just the wall paper. To remedy this I have to ctr-alt-del and log out and log back in. I have also gotten a black screen after log in and blue screen error C0000145 and random freezing. I have run three different virus/malware scans as well as full diagnostics on the hardware and have found no problems. if anyone can help me with this it will be greatly appreciated. This machine has a ton of school work on it that i would hate to loose. Thanks in advance.

I have also upgraded to 3GB of Ram, as well as a 500Gb Hatachi Travelstar both in March/April of this year.

That error points to faulty RAM.
Download Memtest86 from here: http://www.memtest.org/ and run that first on 1 module (test in each slot), than the other module (test in each slot), then test both, swap them around and test again.
Run at least 2 full cycles in each test.
To avoid further problems until you have found a solution, do not hibernate/sleep, but completely switch it off instead.
