Hello happy thinkpad owners!
I just can't figure this one out.
Why are scalling issues when I make the youtube window fullscreen?
Notice the artifacts on the cursor and fonts. The artifacts are present in the picture also. I just can't watch any youtube hd.

My screen rez is 1440x900 native, Mobile Intel 965 chipset. I'm pixel-to-pixel in any other app.

I'm 90% sure this is a video encoding issue, not a problem with your system at all. Most youtube video is poorly encoded and will display these artifacts, it's done to make the streaming efficient. There is also the issue of transport protocol, adobe flash is designed to easily digest errors and missing bits, which translate into such artifacts.

Bottom line, if you want quality video, download some well encoded standard or HD video and play it back with a good player like Media player classic or VLC, if you then have issues, then it's possible you have a problem, but I'd bet money your playback performance will be outstanding, even with the integrated intel graphics.

In laymens terms... youtube sucks! it's designed so people on low bandwidth can watch it and to avoid overworking their servers, but in general, all forms of "streaming" video will be poor quality.
