Im looking for a replacement keyboard plastic cover for my T61!
It looks exactly like this one:

As a 17 year old, ho is about to go to college, $5 is alot of $$$$! xD

I don't know if that will fit your laptop or not, it says it's for an R61i... and ebay sellers are rarely reliable for matching up parts right.

I have all the plastics for these models, but I can't ship it at that price, nor would I be willing to do any kind of sale for that price. maybe if someone was ordering other parts I'd add it to the shipment, but from a financial point of view, given the choice of selling, processing payments, packaging, printing, shipping all for $2, or carrying the item to the curb and dumping it in the trash, I'd chose the trash can... much easier and less work.

I also have to question the motives of someone selling something for less then the cost of shipping, I suspect some type of scam, because even shipped without proper boxing and protection, it would still cost me over $5, and to do it right would be about $10 (proper box and packing), and that's just the cost on shipping.

I was thinking something more like Alien parasites that jump out of the box when it arrives and take over your body... then next thing you know your also selling thinkpad parts for less then the cost of shipping until the entire world's thinkpad population is taken over...

Or perhaps this really is just a Hoax???

They claim to ship USPS priority mail, which I use often, and everything I ship, no matter how small the box, the starting price for shipping is $5, no matter how light the package could be.

I'd really like to know why someone would take the time to prepare an ebay auction and sell a part for $3.71 including shipping, then pay $5 to ship it? or am I missing something here???

Shipping via standard 1st class mail rates would be cheaper, but the auction specifically says priority mail... and there is no such thing as "expidite", that is an ebay term and refers to the speed in which the seller processes the order... and there is no specific definition to what it actually means.

ps. I also wonder how the seller "tested" this item... what's to test??? it's a piece of plastic lol

maybe its a company that has a deal with USPS to ship cheaper.....idk it came via USPS-Priority Mail(c)
They test, if the item fits the in the title stated laptop model and they test it for physical flaws I gues.... lol
