Deactivated Security Chip. Forced to registrate???

Hi
I deactivated the security chip in CSS (all programs, Thinkvantages) and rebooted. I still use the fingerprint reader before bios and before Windows, which is good. But when I try to open Password Manager (PWM) it still ask me to use use fingerprint but now its telling me that no finger is registrated. So when I try to registrate a finger it tells me that I can't registrate on my active username. Obvious it want me to deactivate my profil and create a new one. But everything works fine untill PWM. I just want to deactive the chip temporarly and I dont want to delete my 4 years old user account (what consecvenses will that create?). So have I missed something. It looks like part of CSS is still running and another not.

Can anybody please tell me what to do or just tell me how to access PMW?

Thanks in advance//Plaincollar :?

The T61 and its fingerprint buggery is still a black art to me after 3 years.

I would try re-enabling everything. Or log in as administrator (usually with no PW on a home machine) and try from there.

I uninstalled most of the Thinkvantage crap like a week after I got the laptop, and that was some 4 years ago.

happily using it thereafter, just saying...
