Transfer WWAN card from T61p to T420s

Hi,

This may be a newbie question already answered, but I can't find the answer in a search.

I currently have a T61p with WWAN built in using a Sierra MC5725 card with Verizon Wireless (think it's about 3+ years old). It has an unlimited 3G data plan.

What I was curious is whether this card can be transferred to a T420s so that I can still use the card and the unlimited plan, or is only the Gobi3000 WWAN card compatible with the 420s?

Thank you,

Chris Kim

I remember that it is only compatible with X6, T6, X300 series.

But... worth a try

But is that by hardware incompatibility, or BIOS whitelist? If the latter, then this might be swappable in time.

It would be BIOS problem. I'm using GOBI2000 in X61 with BIOS patch..
