Dual Monitors on T60p

I am trying to run dual monitors on a T60p in the mini dock. The monitors are identical 19" with VGA connections. I have one connected to the VGA connector on the dock and the other to the DVI connector via a DVI to VGA adaptor, however I can't get anything to display. I have tried different settings in bios and monitor setup in windows 7 pro. Can anyone recommend the right settings?

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/ThinkPad_ ... _Mini_Dock
states that the Mini Dock DVI is DVI-D
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Vi ... l-link_DVI
states that DVI-D does not provide an analog signal.
Too bad these docks don't provide DVI-I.

So it looks like I can't use the DVI port with these monitors. Thanks for the reply by the way.
Do you think a VGA 'Y' splitter would give me all the functionality of dual monitors, or will it just be the same image on both screens?

That splitter is probably just for mirroring on two displays.
You could add a VGA port with a USB->VGA adapter. I personally use a pair of Lenovo USB->DVI adapters to great effect. I've also used the Lenovo Port Replicator in the past to get an extra VGA port.
Maybe it's time to upgrade your monitor(s)?

Turns out the Lenovo USB->DVI adapter is DVI-I, so it would give you an analog port now while also being useful as an extra DVI port in the future.

They're not cheap ($120), but there are lots of alternatives (wireless, port replicator features, HDMI).

I think the easiest (& cheapest) route will be a new DVI monitor. Thanks for your help.
