Presently I have 4 GB of RAM in my T60P 2623 DDU (3 GB recognized). What is the best RAM for my device, and how can I check if my bios is properly set for the RAM that I do have installed? . Also who's the best memory vendor?

Thanks

The ram specs don't really matter, especially in a thinkpad, provided it works. for the T60 series (and X60, Z61...) the most memory that you can recognize is 3gb. that is a chipset limitation, and there is no way to correct that. if you have 4gb now 3gb useable, that is the best you will get with that system.

I do realize the 3GB memory limitation. I was just describing my setup.

I suspect that I might have a problem with my RAM and was asking for advice on the what and where of RAM replacement.

Which would be? If you think there's something wrong with the memory, you could run memtest on it. ThinkPads are pretty adaptable towards memory these days. I don't think the brand matters much.
