advanced mini dock & S/PDIF out

#1 Post by agathis » Mon Apr 16, 2012 3:53 pm

I have a T60 2007 model with win7x32 and want to play music through spdif on mini dock, but my reciever remains silent doesn't matter what settings I try on the laptop.

Digital Audio device is listed in device manager and the bar next to it even indicates something when a player is started, but no music comes out.

I've even tried older drivers, but with no luck.

Has anyone got s/pdif to workwith win7? How?

Yes. I have a T60 with win7 and use S/PDIF audio all the time. One thing I would ask is have you gone into Windows audio settings and made SPDIF the default output source?

If not right click the speaker icon in the system tray, select playback devices, and set S/PDIF Interface as the default output source. You may still have it on the default speakers output.
