I have a Boe Hydis HT14P12-100 (14" SXGA+, FRU 13N7046) LCD pulled out of a sickly T43p.

Does anyone know for a fact whether this LCD will work in a T6x unit?

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK it would need an EDID chip soldered into it, as per http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... 49#p657949

George, Although not a Hydis, I have been using a LG LP141X14(A1) 14.1" LCD Panel - FRU:11P8354 pulled from an old 2004 T40 in a spare T60 currently with an Intel GPU which works flawlessly both with XP & Win-7 - On inspection of the LCD Panel's PCB, it does not seem to have an EDID chip onboard - The panel also proved ok on an x1300 ATi board too! - (Note: both MB's have a modded BIOS to get around the whitelist issue).
