r50p IPS transplant into t60

Hello, i'm guessing this is a noob question, can the 1600x1200 ips display from the r50p easily (if at all) be put in the t60(15" 4:3)? I read the first few pages of the t60 screens sticky and it mentioned that the t43p screen won't just "fit" and i'm guessing the r50p screen is the same one sadly. So can it be done easily, or has anyone made it work?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

There is no such thing as R60p.

Ahhh my bad, i never use my R50p. So it's an r50p, not an r60p. Thanks for the correction. So what does that get me? Otherwise, anyone want a r50p? LOL

R50p uses the same panel as T42p and T43p, so the same limitations apply...

If you really want to sell yours, post an ad in the forum's Marketplace - it's free.

It can be done, provided the R50p LCD has a proper EDID chip, to work in a T60.
Failing that, you can buy EDID chips and solder them in on the R50pLCD. Then you need to find the specific software to program the EDID to match T60 specs.
Lots of work... not worth it if you ask me.
Have fun.
