I have noticed that there is a substantial static-y/whirring noise coming from either the front speaker and/or the vents on the underside of my t60p. What is most perplexing about this issue is that it only happens when running on battery power; it is completely nonexistent when the AC adapter is plugged in.
I have blown out the speakers and vents with canned air to no avail. I searched the internet regarding this and it seems to be a pretty commonplace problem (not just with ThinkPads) but I could not find any instances where anyone actually solved it. Any insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated.
