14 T60p difference between bluetooth and no bluetooth model

So the LCD cable stopped working in my 14" T60p. It works only if screen is 30 degrees above keyboard or if I press it, the notebook works with.

I looked up part and I see it costs only about 15 EUR/20 USD online so it's probably no biggie to replace it.

As I see my T60p has a bluetooth daughter card but it's not present in device manager, so it's probably dead.

So I just need new LCD cable for bluetooth and new bluetooth daughtercard?

Before buying a new cable, have you tried re-seating the connector where it attaches to the back of the LCD panel and where it connects to the MB?

If that doesn't help, the BT daughter card connects to the LCD ribbon cable so it's quite possible the card is OK and the cable is causing both problems.

Replacing the cable may solve both the LCD & BT problem but make sure you get the BT LCD cable - some sellers don't know the difference.

On the other hand, a new BT card is cheap and would save having to open up the lid a second time if your BT card is actually bad.

Good luck to you...and Sagan.

The cable is damaged in the bend between display and system section of the notebook.

Also what kind of glue to use to glue back screw caps and the frame to LCD assembly?

You can use double-sided scotchtape/stickytape/sellotape, that you cut to size with small scissors.
Or find your local equivalent for Elmer's Rubber Cement: http://www.elmers.com/product/detail/E904
