T60p and win XP wi-fi and power monitor troubles.

So I've got this machine working flawless for mounts.
2 weeks ago a wi-fi AP stopped been detected on the laptop, so I thought it's a virus and got the machine reinstalled.
But still the AP was not discoverable even if my phone was able to discover it and all other laptops and phones around.
Besides from this the Power manager stopped working after the reinstall of the Win.
Yesterday I've got the machine reinstalled again but still I've got just the same two annoying problems.
Any ideas?
It's a T60p 2007-A16 with Win XP Pro SP2.

Maybe as simple as installing SP3 would fix the problems...

There's a small wifi On-Off switch on the front of the laptop.
Sometimes that gets switched off accidentally...

Nope it's not that.
As I've said - Only one exact wifi network is not detected only from the Thinkpad.
My phone detects it, all other laptops detect it etc.
For now the PowerManager works don't know how, but it stopped generating error messages on startup and started working properly.

Remove/incapacitate Access Connections and let Windows manage the connections.
Or try a different wifi card.

@ the moment - Fresh installed Win XP, still not detecting this network and further more - the Power Management program doesn't start on each startup.
It crashes with a message "An exception occured while trying to run "C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\PWRMGRTR.DLL, PwrMgrBkGndMonitor""
Ideas about the PM
