T60 Monitor Problem - Need Help

Recently my T60 monitor has been acting funny. In the right hand corner of the monitor display there is a black spot that is quite hot to the touch. Also,the monitor is noticeably flickering a bit. Basically I'm trying to find out what the problem is and what I can do to fix it.

My T60 is a Windows XP Pro machine and is totally stock except for minor upgrades to the RAM, Optical Drive, Battery Pack, and Hard Drive, all using TP/Lenovo parts.

Welcome to the forum.

You definitely need a new inverter.

You might end up needing a new LCD if the inverter caused permanent damage to the panel.
