Configure T60: wake up with keyboard illumination on?

One of my T60's is using VGA out to a 23" display, so I have it go into suspend when I close the cover and open the cover about 45-60 degrees to wake the machine and 23" display. Problem is, it's hard to see the keys unless the keyboard illumination light is activated (it helps significantly). Presently, I have to turn this on with the fn+PgUp key combination. Is there a way to configure the T60 to wake up with the light already on?
