T60 Upgrade Question

How easily would a T61 14.1" motherboard fit in a T60 14.1" case?

Try it and find out!
Look at the various Frankenpad threads and see what they have done exactly to a 15" T60 chassis.
Guess it won't be too different.
In the end you may not be able to use/install the modem card.

Provided that you are talking about a 14.1" 4:3 T61 board. The 14.1" widescreen board won't fit in any T60 case.

The 14.1 and 15" T60 use the same system boards and many of us have put the 14.1" T61 standard boards in our 15" T60, so I'm certain it's doable in a 14.1" T60 too, but why not just get a T61?

The reason we've all done the mod on the 15" is because it's the only way to get the power of a T61 into the higher quality 15" screens, but if you happen to have the parts handy, then go for it, you'll need the board, cpu and pc card assembly. Some cutting on the frame will be required.
