How to install Think Vantage software

I am about to install a SSD and Windows 7 64bit from a newly bought disk onto a t61p.

What do I do about the various Think Vantage apps? How do I know which ones apply to my machine?

The Lenova website has so many items, categories and choices; it is impossible to navigate.

download lenovo think vantage system update 4.0 (i think). After you install that just run the program and it will select all of the possible think vantage software that is compatible with your machine. The best one is the power manager, which allows you to set your battery charge thresholds. good luck!
