Iam trying to do this at the easiest way possible, anyone did this to a t61 centrino? Graphics will be necessary and is why I mention centrino to ensure there are drivers for them.
I found this but dont have a dual layer dvd player. Will try to create it on a bootable usb.

Any feedback is still appreciated.

Why don't you guys go over to the sub-forum:

Been there and done that (not with a t61.... but built a hackintosh as they are called).

It is, as Jobs would say: "
A bag of hurt."
You might get it working, partially enough to play with, but any little update can and will screw up your whole system and you have to fallback to a saved state or start over.
You are far better to install Ubuntu on the thing.
It will work out of the box and will be rock solid.
Just my $0.02

You should go through all your posts, and either
remove your email address or change it to e.g.

Spammers love to harvest forums for email addresses like yours!

Yeah I know.... It's sort of too late though....
I like to pretend that the spammers don't exist, that way it feels more real and less like I'm trying to hide my identity online all the time.
I just let the spam pile up in my GMail account ... 6 GB and counting, keep building filters .... Google does a pretty good job of screening out the really bad stuff first.
Thanks for the note though.
Mike.
