Lightscribe drive.

Anyone know where I can find a lightscribe drive for the ultrabay? So far all I can find are external USB drives any info will be appreciated. :D

lightscribe is HP specific, but they do license the technology to other drive manufactures. It may be possible to do surgery on an ultrabay drive and replace the guts with a lightscribe compatible part, but it may be problematic finding one that is a perfect fit both functionally and cosmetically. My advice is don't waste your time, if you need to burn labels for discs, do it on an external drive or another computer, but if you're determined to do this, then please share any success you have with the community.
