T60p sleeps at 70% battery

Hi

Iv had this problem since i got my T60p back in Jan. Sometimes the computer will go into sleep automatically when on battery and usually at the 70% mark. Before I had one of the cheap batterys and charger (65W) from ebay, and thought that may be the problem. So about a month ago I bought the genuine Lenovo 9 cell battery and genuine 90W charger.
But the problem is still there although not as frequent as before.
So just wondering if any one else has this problem? I been to all the power settings and power manager, but it still happens. I cant figure it out. Its a real pain when it sleeps on its own when working on it. (on battery power).
When plugged in it doesnt do it.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your time.
Jay

I also experienced the problem of unexpected hibernation / standby on both of my T61 frankenpads when they are on battery. The reason is that the systems report critical battery level when the batteries (original ones) still have plenty of power. After resume from standby / hibernation, the laptops work in normal mode without problem.
I am experiencing this problem only in Windows 7 (64 bits), but not get it under Windows XP.

Try cleaning the connectors on the back of the system board where the battery connects. If the problem persists, try booting from a linux liveCD, if you get the same problem in Linux, you may be looking at a system board repair or replacement.
