Just like the topic, Zender BIOS flash gone horribly wrong.

Long story short, after successfully swapping T61/T60 motherboard for my Frankenpad, I decided to put left over T60 Motherboard into T61 frame. Physically succeeded and worked fine. Had this terrible idea flashing to Zender BIOS to put better Wireless card. After flashing, got the message that the flash was successful. rebooted the system and booted fine to new BIOS setting. Configured few settings in the new BIOS, re-booted and "POOF!"

When I turn on the system, I do see "Thinkpad" logo and goes dark afterwards. Can't go into BIOS or can't do anything.

What's my options from here? Any chance of recovery?

Please help~~~~~~

I don't think that it's Zender's BIOS that has caused the issue - or BIOS in the first place.

On all the ThinkPads that I've ever seen with the BIOS flash gone bad, one could never get to the logo screen to begin with.

Your problem might be elsewhere.

Does it work with external LCD?
When I swapped a T60p mobo to T61 case, the Thinkpad logo flashed very quickly and LCD turned off. The problem is missing EDID chip in an aftermarket XGA LCD, though it worked fine with T61.

Sorry Folks!~ False Alarm!
After getting a good night of sleep, I took the advise of ajkula66 that it might not be the BIOS. I disassembled to the bone and I noticed that the heatsink was not making proper and complete contact on the chipset. re-applied AS5 made sure the contact was made properly this time and voila!~
came back to life.

Just to make sure, I downloaded new BIOS from Lenovo.com and re-flashed it so Zender BIOS is out for now.

You may want to edit the title of the thread so readers don't get the (mistaken) impression that Zender's BIOS is faulty or dangerous...
