can i put this fast chip in my t60?

right now i just have a '2007' core duo, 1.8ghz processor, windows 7 32bit

INTEL CORE 2 DUO PROCESSOR T9550 2.66GHz/6M/1066MHz SLGE4 CPU SOCKET P

No, that will not work.

The fastest CPU that your machine can take is T7600.

You may want to post a WTB (want to buy) ad in the forum's Marketplace.

T7600 holds it price well...you're looking at $70-80...

Honestly, you're likely better off getting a SSD and a cheaper CPU like T5600 or T7200...SSD will yield much more of an evident performance gain than the CPU.
