XP Driver Install Order

Is there a particular install order that should be followed for the Lenovo drivers on a T60 (2623-D8U)? I've got Windows XP SP3 installed, then I did all the critical updates through Windows Update. Then, I installed the LAN driver, then the Intel Chipset, then the Wireless driver, restarting between each.

I've been Googleing around, checking this site and Lenovo as well, and I can only find instructions for Windows 7 (though maybe its the same order?), instructions for the newer Thinkpads, or really out of date instructions.

Maybe there's not really a specific order? I used to just use System Update, but I guess that's not supported anymore?

If you don't use Restore CDs, you should install the Intel/AMD Chipset drivers right after the initial Windows installation.
Then manually install the LAN and/or WAN drivers, so you can go online.
After that do Windows Update, and only then Lenovo's System Update.
Now install an Antivirus program; M$'s Security Essentials is more than adequate, and better than Avast, AVG and all the other freebies.

So System Update still works to some extent?

System Update still works as well if not better than ever!

I just thought I had read somewhere about people being [censored] off because System Update was no longer being supported, and they were going to have to keep their drivers up to date individually.

Oh, yeah, the version that was pre-installed on older model ThinkPads is no longer supported. But Lenovo has been releasing new versions all along, so if you have kept System Update up-to-date, it still works great.
