Volume Slider Color

#1 Post by Teddy123 » Mon Sep 17, 2012 12:39 pm

I know this issue is utterly meaningless, but it is perplexing me and I figured there has got to be an easy answer that someone on this board might know.

The HD on my T61p crashed a few months ago and was replaced. Since that time, the volume indicator/slider at the bottom of the screen (activated by using the Volume +/- and mute buttons) is white - as opposed to green, as it had been prior to the HD crash. As I said, utterly meaningless - but very, very curious. What could possibly have caused this to happen?

Hey T, welcome to the forum!

The new version of Lenovo tools (or whatever it's called) has the white on screen display. I think they consider it to look more modern. The old version of On-Screen-Display was green. Must be an old fashioned color.

Not sure if you can download the old version any longer, or not. But if you restore from the factory recovery partition (or disks), it will have the older version. That is until you run system update, which will bring in all the new stuff.
