Ultrabay Battery Charging

After a spell away dating other makes I've come back to a T61 2.2G and have been busy making it pretty. 256G Samsung SSD, Win 7 and 4G of RAM (8G is soooo expensive) and it is running great and it loads really fast - thank you for all the tips on the forum. The only problem I have, having bought an Ultrabay battery is charging it - the Power Manager reports it to be in good condition, I have run it down to zero (from 75% charge) and have tried to charge it with and without the main battery, but I cannot get re-charge. I have a 90W charger.

I am assuming that the battery is not the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas. From a search of the web, others have had the same problem, but there have not been any solutions.
