T61 display replacement - help needed

Hi,
I am new in this forum. I live in Germany and a friend of mine that lives in Indiana, has a technical/mechanical problem with here T61.
I am not used to the rules of this forum and didnt fiquere out so I better ask before the admins kick me out because of being in breach of the forum rules.
Is it allowed here to ask if somebody is willing and able to help ( name and adresses would be excanged confident via PM ). We do ask for and give help ( manual ) eachother in the german Lenovo forum, without any problems, but I don know whats it like over here ( if there exist any restrictions ). I could, but I live just a little bit too far away.
Hope I didnt break any rules with just placing this question.

I believe that your best bet would be to have your friend's screen replaced by someone else.
