Can I use a T61p motherboard in a 15.4-in T61

I have been doing searches on the web for a motherboard for my T61 after it went into the no boot after a failed bios update and a bsod. My T61 is model number 6458-4UU and according to the HMM the FRU# for a system board/motherboard is 42W7652. My issue is every time I search that FRU number I get results that give me both the FRU number listed above and FRU# 44C3931 and state that it is for a T61p 15.4-inch. My question is will this motherboard (the 44C) work in my T61?

Welcome to the forum.
You can use that 42W7652 mobo, as well as the 42W7876, both have the 128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M GPU.
44C3931 is just another # for the 42W7652 board.
However, unless you get an AIRTIGHT warranty on it, AND you know the history of that board, I would NOT buy such a mobo.
There are too many cowboys on eBay that want to make a quick buck on such a notorious board.
If you read some of the posts about nVidia gfx in this forum, you'll know why you should avoid nVidia.
If you can live with less powerful graphics, I would advise you to get a mobo with Intel graphics instead.
Either one in the HMM will do.
To be on the safe side, post a WTB (want to buy) ad in our Market forum, and/or contact forum member TuuS via PM.
