[Solved] Problem with Fingerprint Reader & Windows 7 X64

I can't seem to get my T60's fingerprint reader to work in Windows 7 X64. I've tried all of the drivers on Lenovo's support page, and the Authentec drivers, but the reader never shows up as a Windows biometric device.

In the ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software, after entering my window's password I get an error message of ""specified service does not exist" and in the details it also says ""an internal error has occurred"

I installed DigitalPersona, and it is able to do fully functioning fingerprint scans with my reader. This program has no way to send its info to the bios though, so it's not what I need.

I've followed all of the various methods in the forums to no avail (uninstalling, reinstalling in different orders, etc). I am using a fresh install of W7 X64 that I stripped down using rt7lite (because I only have a 60GB SSD), and my guess is that a service is missing (I do have credentials manager, and everything else security related though).

My T60's info is listed in my sig. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here's how to fix this:
Uninstall everything: the drivers (through device manager) and Thinkvantage software. Reboot. Remove the drivers again if they reinstalled at startup.

Then extract (but don't install yet) the newest TV FP Software. Next, through device manager manually install the FP reader's drivers that are included in the TV "tc-driver" folder.
Now install the TV FP Software and it should work.

I must have tried a dozen different ways to do this before it clicked.
