title says it all, need to run cables that require serial ports, wondering if the docking stations have these ports. Thanks

The one that I have has both serial and parallel ports + 4 USB ports.

So not all stations have serial ports? I appreciate your feedback, you just eliminated lots of headaches for me, now just have to find out if they are all the same.

My port replicator/docking station has serial port for a printer and a small port that looks the reverse of a VGA port (male?).

Serial port
Mouse/Keyboard PS/2
Ethernet and modem jacks
S/PDIF port
Audio Out/Audio In
DVI
VGA

I see you guys have the 14" screen, will this fit the 15" trying to learn the specs on google now. well I appreciate your input guys, this confirms theres a serial port and it is much appreciated. Just found a station for 10 bucks 2505 and it fits the 15" just making sure it has serials. Thanks again.

Ok it looks like I need your model guys, thanks for providing your model numbers as the 2505 doesnt have a serial port.

Yep, it will fit the 15" model as well. The 2504 is the dock to own - 2505 is a measly port replicator which hardly has anything useful.

Amen. This just saved me from buying a Laptop from the 90s.

There's an UltraBay serial & parallel I/O adapter as well, but it's not as readily available as the Advanced, or Advanced Mini, Docks.
