Best WUXGA display manufacturer?

LG? Samsung? Other?
Specific FRU or other identifying # eagerly welcomed.
I can now use WUXGA (cataract surgery is wonderful!) but don't know which brand to get other than "not buy a generic Chinese panel".
Apologies if my search missed something obvious.
Any other parts I should get other than the bezel? From what I read the cable etc will swap.

LG, hands down, no comparison.

Thanks! Ordered one.
Cool King Crimon sig. I've not listened to them in many years and will "fix" that too!

Well, I'm coming too late with my comment since you've already ordered it. But in the German forum there was a thread about a Sharp model being quite good as well. Check this site out:

I don't recall Sharp panel being a factory option...haven't read the article on German forum, though...
At one point, I had a Z61p with a LG panel and a W500 with a Samsung LCD side-by-side (never took the pictures, the idiot that I occasionally am...) and it was literally day and night in all respects...

It wasn't, but the folks did some detective work and found out that it works out of the box. They even have some pictures comparing the screens with other IPS models. I'm also considering buying one in the near future for my headless T500.

Strange, I have here some new T61 WUXGA with a Samsung and an LG Panel. I don't see much difference.
What am I doing wrong...
I'll order a Sharp LCD too, to see what the fuss is all about it.

I have none of its kin to compare to, but the Phillips arrived and is Very Nice.
Thanks, ajkula66 for the excellent advice!

You're very welcome - happy to hear that the LG panel had met your expectations.
Enjoy!
