New owner of a used T60 1.83 SXGA. 2GB ram/BT/intel wireless. I am wating for a new HD caddy from Hong Kong, then I'll get a Crucial SSD going in it. I got it off of ebay. Had a security tag on it. Called the number and they said it had been recycled. Wanted me to keep the tag and register it under my name. I have opted to remove the tag. Ugly. But, there are some spots of super glue like substance on the LCD cover. Anyone have any luck removing something like this? Or, should I just look for a clean cover on ebay?

The keys are very firm compared to my T20. The T20 is soft, whereas the T60 keys are hard plastic and make more of a desktop keyboard sound. What are your thoughts? Which do you preffer? I kind of enjoy the soft keys of the T20. It is also heavier than the 20, but I have removed the dvd drive from it and just use an ultra-bay blank.

Hope to get it going soon and comment on the performance. It did good booting a live linux cd. Resolution is much better than XGA. I'll have to get used to reading small again =)

GooGone is usually capable of removing such spots.
Do this in a well vented area, the stuff stinks for up to a day after application.
