T61's keyboard, trackpad and Trackpoint don't work on startu

This is an intermittent problem that i've been noticing ever since my T61 was upgraded to a SSD. When I start up XP either the trackpad/Trackpont won't work or the keyboard won't work. and I have to reboot my system. I think I have all the proper drivers installed so I am up to a loss as why this happens.
