T61 NVIDIA chip dead??

Hello
I read the long post "T61 nVidia thinkpads being repaired " from Jan 2011.
My t61 6460-7EU is from 2007 Dec, means it may suffer the chip problem.

A week ago the red blue broken words appeared. This happens while working in normal win7 mode. But when in safe mode it works perfect.
I tried various drivers from Lenovo site but no change.
What can be done in this case?
What is the right driver for this machine? in lenovo site I did not find a WIN 7 32bit driver.

Your GPU is going south.

A replacement board - or a new laptop altogether - is in order.

I am already prepared for that... but how comes it works fine on safe mode?

Because the generic VGA driver doesn't push the GPU as much as the proper nVidia one does...
