T61 turbo memory card

#1 Post by billyj » Sat Feb 23, 2013 8:20 am

I have a fixed up T61 that I originally configured with 2GB of Intel turbo memory. Siince I am now running Win7 x64 on an SSD, I disabled the turbo memory in device manager.

I am thinking about pulling the card out and freeing up the slot. Are there any suggested uses for the slot?
I thought briefly about WWAN, but it does not seem to be worth the effort, plus I have a USB wireless data card anyway.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

You can install an SD card reader there. Kind of an extra SSD, just slower.
