Hello Gentlemen I have a problem

I want to replace a damaged LCD cable

My model machine is a IBM T60p type 2007-93G

I have a 15'' LCD 1600x1200 UXGA IPS

my LCD cable model:

ASMP41v9697
P / N 91P6970
-version of blotouch

I need help, .. want to buy a cable that fits my model

Would need to know which specific models / replacement cable fits my LCD

I am planning to purchase a used cable disassembly of the LCD

I learned from one of the vendors that I need at least a minimum of LCD cable from the model SXGA + 1400 x 1050
to work at 1600x1200

how in the truth I do not know ....

Photo my tape cable:

Paul

Welcome to the forum, Paul!

The cable you need is 91P6985 - see 15 inch LCD service parts - ThinkPad T60, T60p (standard 4:3 screen).

Hint: Try place a "WTB" (Want To Buy) in The Marketplace in this forum. Another hint; have a look in the Lenovo (T60) Service and Support Training Vidoes. There are a lot of other very useful videos at Youtube; try Google there for e.g. "T60 LCD repair" etc. By the way, I also suggest you have a look in the thread [rant] What's wrong with LCD cable FRUs and eBay sellers? and Install help for HV150UX1-101 LCD - there you will find a bit of useful information, too.

... by the way; I trust you already have the Hardware Maintenance Manual - ThinkPad T60, T60p (4:3 LCD models)

Sorry I disagree!
The correct P/N is 91P6970.
If you see pictures, make sure it has the BlueTooth connector.
The same cable without BT is 91P9650.

Check eBay for ibm 91p6970

Thank you all for your quick response to my question.

As for the technical manual T60 I have.
As for LCD repair tutorial type I am familiar.

I only needed a hint of matching models of the cable to my LCD
I just do not want to buy a bad model :)

Yesterday in the search have yet to find a topic:

http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... 0p#p693201

.. or else you can add something because I see that in the latter topic
is cable model 91P6985

home at auction Allegro.pl I found:

http://allegro.pl/tasma-matrycy-ibm-thi ... 75430.html

http://allegro.pl/tasma-lcd-ibm-r60-r61 ... 21173.html

The 6969 looks to me from modeling 14.1
but 6985 looks old type, folding the strip similar to my model

Thanks and Regards

Paul

91P6985 is the "correct" FRU for a T60 15 inch 4:3 LCD cable as listed in the Hardware Maintenance Manual, but almost all items listed on eBay under 91P6985 are LCD cables for the R60. Instead, T60 cables are often listed under 91P6970 (with bluetooth connector) or 91P6950 (without bluetooth connector), and these FRUs are actually printed on the cables themselves.

By the way, I have one of these cables (without BT) for sale.

To set this straight once and for all, 91P6970 is the ONLY correct P/N or FRU for a T60/T60p LCD cable for UXGA with BT.
Buy anything else at your own peril!

After many expectations at auction in the end I found:

http://allegro.pl/tasma-matrycy-lcd-15- ... 43878.html

ASMP41V9696, 91P6970

I think it would be a good model.

I prefer to be more sure: 0

Because my old tape is labeled ASMP41V9697

I can't read any P/N on that picture, but the shape looks 100% identical to the T60 cables that I use.
