Hello,

I have T61 8805-CTO with Core 2 Duo T7700. I need the processor from it elsewhere, so I wonder, which processor to buy to replace it. I am thinking about T7800, but is it really the best, my motheboard can bear? Couldnt I put there anything better?

You should be able to go up to the T9500. If you've got an older T61 motherboard it might throw up an error message, but this can be resolved with Middleton's BIOS hack.
