Replace bad audio plug?

#1 Post by fefrie » Thu May 16, 2013 2:49 pm

Hi I have a t60 and I had a headphone jack that was a little messed up. The plastic on the jack that seperates the metal sections was a little bit old, and as a result parts of them chipped off.

I put it into the headphone jack of my t60 and when I pulled it out, there was no sound! So I muddled it around a bit and picked or shook whatever out of the jack.

Recently I tried the jack again, and I notice that theres' audio coming out of only one side.

If I can't ungiggle whatever is in there, is it easy to replace that jack? I'm hoping that it's a component like the modem or wireless card.....

Well I'll try this.

Hopefully it's just a driver issue :?
