Screen change for my aging t60

#1 Post by garnet » Tue Jul 09, 2013 9:35 am

Hi

I have an aging t60 8743-cto. It has 15.4" (i believe) 1680x1050 screen which isnt too bad but eventually it will get worse.
What options do I have for this t60? Anything of equal resolution or better (1920x1200?)? Anything IPS?
Suggestions welcome.

No IPS in that format, but a WUXGA (1920x1200) from T61/p, W500 or Z61p will work just fine.

Thanks a lot. Do you happen to know any part number I should look for? What brands?
Anyone selling any new WUXGA displays here and wanting to ship to UK? Or it will be too expensive?

I don't have any wuxga screens available but I do have some wsxga+ ranging from $20-80, $50 would get you a very nice one.

The wuxga screens tend to vary considerably in quality and at best, are never as bright as the other resolutions.
