Is it possible to put the palmrest without touchpad from a 15" R60e onto a 15" T60?
R60e FRU 41W5190 (IBM logo) or 42W3152 (Thinkpad logo)
It seems there's another one: 41W4789/41W4790 ???

They are not interchangeable. The dimensions are not the same. You would do better to put the T60 motherboard in an R60 chassis. I'm planning on trying the reverse soon for a 14" model.

I must say that I hope you are wrong!
I'm building T60/T61 Frankenpads, which do NOT involve an R60 chassis.

I'm pretty sure the motherboards are interchangeable but the display hinges and palmrest don't match up for the 14.1" T60<->R60. Not sure about other exterior pieces like the bezel or the 15.4" models.

Maybe you missed that I asked about a 15" R60e palmrest for onto a 15" T60? (both NON-widescreen)
Anybody else tried this perhaps?

I remember that it can't be done on the 14" models. I'm pretty sure that the infrared port that was blocked if you use the R60 palmrest. Also, the sides weren't quite right, IIRC. I think the R60 palmrest was a little taller/thicker. Also, there was more of an overhang on the LCD cover of the R-series, so I'm not sure the fit will be right.

Let us know what you find out!

I know that George (ajkula66) has a souped-up 15" R60e for his boys.
I'm waiting for his (hopefully positive) reply.
And I think it's rather irrelevant if an infrared lens is blocked, who still uses this antiquated thing?

This antiquated user :) . Has helped me a couple of times when I needed to transfer a photo or two from my non-smartphone to a laptop that doesn't have Bluetooth.

Ray, my apologies!

In the meantime I've heard from George, and unfortunately the answer is NO.

You could finagle it to fit, with screws missing and stress on the
outskirts of the palmrest. It just doesn't sit right.

I would not do it. Ever. As much as I'd like a T6x with no touchpad.

Maybe a case for a 3D printer?

Edit: Maybe somebody can design a T6x Palmrest in CAD and let it 3D print it... Maybe it's just daydreaming, but if they can make guns out of a 3D printer why not a Palmrest?
