R61 higher resolution screen options

I've got an R61(Type 8935) with a WXGA(1280x800) display and Intel X3100 graphics. Has anyone tried higher resolution screens on these? Will the T61p or Z61 screens work? Will the GPU limit certain options?

The R61 was offered with WXGA+ on the 14" and WSXGA+ on the 15". You can swap in either, depending on what size you've got. If you've got the 15", I believe you can do the WUXGA as well, though the WSXGA+ are generally better quality wise, particularly the LG. All the part numbers are in the HMM.

The GPU will not limit the resolution you can use.
