T61p not booting please help

my T61p is not booting all i get is the fan going for a little then 3 beeps and a blank screen it was working the night before and beeps once when i turn it off a swift answer is appreciated

Perhaps you can narrow the fault down by the beep code you are hearing:

IMHO, the most likely culprit is the GPU chip has failed.

Agreed with Neil. Time for a motherboard swap or a new laptop altogether.

One long and two short beeps is a classic sign of total gpu failure. This sometimes happens on these laptops with a production date before August 2008, but the vast majority of the failures are before febuary 2008. We've had a thread going on this at the lenovo forum for years.
