How to windows 7 Product Key on Thinkpad T60

After a lot of searching, I have finally found another T60! I now have two!
It only has XGA and only 512mb of ram (I have 3gb of ram waiting to be installed), but it has everything else I need, including a working battery (so now I can have a portable battery since the other one was dead)
I plan to run it as a home computer/server to replace the Netvista All in one that has completely run its course. The Netvista was made in 2001, and although it has a 2.4ghz processor, it has pc133 memory and an ata66 hard drive.
It runs for a lot of the day and probably wastes a lot of energy.
It has W7 on it, and since I'm not running a SSD, it's simpler for me to run it on XP.
Before I use restore discs, I want to pull out the product key so that when I do decided to upgrade to W7, I'll have a valid product key.
How do I pull that info out. There are tutorials on the net, but I trust you guys first to get me there. If you can point me into that direction, that would really be appreciated!
Thank!
