Anyone do a ccfl conversion to LED strip on their LCD panel?

My T60p 14.1 sxga CCFL needs to be changed. Symptoms are reddish hue at start that turns whiter then just under a minute later the screen goes dark. Images are there when I shine a flashlight on the screen. I took a chance and replaced the inverter board with a brand new one with correct FRU 41W1010. $10 incl shipping.

So it is either buy a used complete (correct "id") panel with hinges etc, buy just the lcd panel with hopefully correct "id", or replace the CCFL bulb. The less expensive these 3 options get, the more work involved. The first 2 option I just might wind up with a worn out CCFL in near future.

Then I saw some youtube vids of LED conversions. The kits are almost as expensive as a brand new panel (but perhaps they need to be "programmed to work with my T60p?).

I did see a thread on this forum about panel LED kits with a link from a Chinese website. No idea what the site says although the prices seem cheap. But also no idea if it includes whatever power gizmo is need by an LED strip.
