Hi guys, what SATA Revision does the T60 2007 5TG have?

SATA1, as all T60.

Not entirely true, since the most tangible added benefits of an SSD in day-to-day work is in its random access, not so much in its sequential speed.

Nope.

Chipset limitatition.

Middleton's BIOS is only applicable to *61 series.

I've just put a Intel X25-M 2.5" SATA (SSDSA2M160G2GC) drive into my Thinkpad Z61p which is identical to the T60p apart from mine has a few extra features. The SSD is certainly worth the effort and speeds up everything hugely, with Windows 7 Pro and various popular software booting up from cold in 29 secs or less. Applications launch instantly in most cases and web browsing is snappy and quick. Even Windows shutdown times are now way quicker. The only thing I have not noticed an improvement with is battery life.

I even see improvements in much older machines. Using compact flash in pentium3 era machines is a noticeable speed increase. I have an SSD in my t60 (it is actually a 61 now.) but it is only sataI so... Someday I'll boost it up when the budget allows. I would love to change all my machines over. The sound, or lack of sound from the drive is amazing. You will be happy you upgraded.
