This is a pretty basic question. I have a Thinkpad T60 (1953 DAU) and I need to replace the hard drive. Will any SATA I hard drive work? Also what other model hard drives will work on this machine. thanx

Any SATA I/II/III will work, provided they are backwards compatible (most are anyway).

I have seen corruption with very large drives, IF the Lenovo driver package for SATA/RAID is installed. If installed from the Intel website, it doesn't happen.
