Hi guys,

I'm trying to use the vanity light on the top of T60's screen butI have no idea how to do it.

So can someone explain to me how to use it in windows and linux please.

Hi HenryJia,

I just looked this up in the Hardware Manual for the T60 (just google it to get the manual) and for the ThinkLight (it's actually called this), you press and hold the Fn key (lower left hand corner of the keyboard) while pressing the PgUp key (upper right corner of the keyboard). The PgUp key has a little blue symbol of a half circle with short lines radiating out, like a light source.

I don't know if you press this key combination in linux works but you can give it a try and let us know.

Talk to you soon,
John

Works for me in Windows, Linux or in BIOS.

You know I thought it was not dependent on the OS. That it was in the BIOS of the machine but I was not sure and I did not want to say this, so thank you for confirming it CigarGuy.
