Got a T61 14.1 ws with T7300 and 41W1478. Found a 44c3933 on local Kijiji listing for $50. Is swap the motherboard worthwhile? I have a T8300 sitting idle will work in 44c3933.

Is there a market for 41w1478 motherboard with T7300?

Like to hear your opinion. Thanks.

I assume you mixed up the last two digits, and have a 41W1487 mainboard as 41W1478 is an inverter...

You want to replace your Intel-GPU mainboard with a possibly defective nVidia-GPU board?
If you want to upgrade to T8300 it is possible to use your old board after a Middleton custom BIOS update.

I have added a T9500 in an old Merom board used in my Frankenpad.

If you want to get rid of your 41W1487 there is always a marked for it, as it is a safe replacement board for T61 with defective nVidia GPU.

Thanks for your input. The motherboard is 41W1487, with Intel X3100.

I have wrongly assume the Middleton bios mod only work for 42w7651 but not 41w1487.

So this good news for me with the idle T8300 cpu.

Merry Christmas to you all. :D
